The Mahindra Reva-NXR the company’s new concept car that was unveiled at the Auto Expo in the national capital of our country (India). In the direction of Next Generation concept based Electric Vehicles (EVs) this vehicle is the first step from Mahindra Reva. The car will hit the Indian roads later this year. Though electric vehicles are not commercially affordable by everyone but still Mahindra Reva-NXR is on the porch of shaping the way paople will commute in the 21st century.
The new Mahindra Reva NXR is a two door electric hatchback car, which is going to be powered by either lithium-ion or a lead-acid battery. The lithium-ion battery will allow the car to touch the top speed of about 104 km per hour and give a decent run of around 160km on a single full charge. The Reva NXR will give a neck to neck fight to the Nissan Leaf, which is also an electric car. Mahindra Reva NXR is likely to come in two appearances.
Just imagine yourself travelling long distance in an air-conditioned, climate controlled comfort for an energy cost of just Rs.10 without emitting a single fragment of destructive gases. The company will be unveiling six new vehicles, including a compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) and a shorter version of its sedan Verito, by the end of the next financial year.
