With increase in the price of automobile sections in the Union Budget 2012, car prices have been increased. Tata Motors which is also one of the manufacturers of commercial vehicles have increased the price of their CVs in India.
Speaking about this, Tata Motors President (Commercial Vehicle Business Unit) Ravi Pisharody said, the price of commercial vehicles have been increased by 2-5% considering the hikes in excise duty on vehicles and chassis. The price hike will come to effect from March 17 (2012).
The 2-5% will range from Rs.5,000 and Rs.60,000 on various models. Ravi Pisharody also added that it will take atleast 4-5 months to absorb fully but will see growth in the fiscal year.

Tata Motors, recently unveiled its MBPV (micro bullet-proof vehicle) @ DEFEXPO India 2012. The vehicle is specially useful for indoor combat inside airports, railway stations and other such infrastructure. The manufacturers also launched their Tata 12×12 Prahaar Missile Carrier, the Tata Light Armoured Vehicle, the Tata Mobile Bunker and the Tata 6×6 Refueler.
