French automobile giant Renault has launched the petrol engine version of the Pulse hatchback in New Delhi recently. The hatchback was first launched with diesel engine versions during its launch in late 2011. As promised Renault has launched the petrol variant of the Pulse hatchback now, but the French automaker has made it clear that it will concentrate mainly on diesel engine cars.
Variants :
The Renault Pulse petrol engine version is available in three variants. RXE will be the entry level variant (airbags), RXL (with airbags) is at the middle level while the top of the line variant RXZ will have ABS and dual airbags.

RXE Petrol Price : Rs. 4,25,000 (Driver airbag)
RXL Petrol Price : Rs. 4,99,000 (Driver airbag)
RXZ Petrol Price : Rs. 5,55,000 (ABS plus dual airbags)
All the above mentioned prices are as per the exclusive showroom price in New Delhi.
Engine :
As the Renault Pulse is the rebadged version of the Nissan Micra hatchback, Renault Pulse’s diesel variant borrowed Micra’s 1.5 DCi diesel engine. Likewise Renault Pulse’s petrol engine is the 1.2 Liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine which does the duties in Micra diesel hatchback. The petrol engine generates a peak power of 80 bhp. The petrol engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
