Suzuki Hayate launched in India :
Japanese auto major Suzuki has forayed into the commuter motorcycle segment of India by launching its Hayate 110cc motorcycle which is aimed at people with daily commuting needs. The Suzuki Hayate was first unveiled at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo in the month of January.
2012 Suzuki Hayate Price in India :
The Suzuki Hayate has two models, one with electric start and the other with kick start. The entry level version of the Suzuki Hayate (without electric start) is priced at INR 40,162, while the one with electric start demands two thousands more (INR 42, 162). Both these prices are as per the ex-showroom rates in Pune.
The Hayate will compete with the recently launched ( a few days before) Discover 100 4G and the yet to be launched Honda Dream Yuga 110cc.
2012 Suzuki Hayate Colors :
2012 Suzuki Hayate is offered in 5 different colors namely, Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Lush Green, Pearl Mica Red, GL Sparkle Black and Metallic Flint Grey.
2012 Suzuki Hayate Engine :
The Hayate is powered by a 110cc four stroke engine which outputs a maximum power of 8.8 PS and a peak torque of 8.4 Nm. The engine is mated to a four-speed gear box.
Hayate has a 8-liter fuel tank capacity. Both the front and the rear wheels are given drum brakes while the suspension system at the rear are 17-inch mags and adjustable rear shock absorbers.
The styling factor looks is not that impressive and resembles the Suzuki Sling Shot in a few portions. The rear portions also a few tints of Honda Glamour. Suzuki is aiming to sell the Hayate both in urban and rural markets and so we can expect good engine life and fuel efficiency which are the key aspects for a motorcycle to do volume sales in rural areas.
Suzuki Hayate Bookings :
The Suzuki Hayate will be launched quickly in all the states of India. Bookings can be done in all the exclusive Suzuki bike dealerships established across India. Suzuki has signed Bollywood star Slaman Khan as brand ambassador of Suzuki Hayate and hence a series of promotional ads will be telecast soon.
